Step-by-step

  1. Split wallet vs exchange. If you have an OKX email login and order history, that is the exchange. If you have a recovery phrase in OKX Wallet, that is self-custody.
  2. Either import the phrase or withdraw. Import in GaurdWallet for the wallet seed. For the exchange, copy Receive (TRON T… or EVM 0x) and withdraw a test amount first.
  3. Match addresses, then size up. Compare the destination in the OKX withdrawal UI with GaurdWallet Receive character-for-character. Then send the rest.

OKX withdrawal networks vs GaurdWallet Receive

OKX labels deposits “USDT-TRC20”, “USDT-ERC20”, “USDT-Polygon”. Those are different tokens. GaurdWallet Receive must be on that exact chain. A T… address is TRON; a 0x address is reused across EVM nets — the withdrawal picker still has to say Ethereum vs BNB vs Polygon.

Warning

OKX support will not ask you to “validate” a seed in Telegram. GaurdWallet will not either. Wrong-network USDT from an exchange is usually unrecoverable.

What OKX Wallet does not export

Extension dApp connections, custom RPC lists, and exchange sub-accounts stay behind. After import, GaurdWallet derives Bitcoin, Solana, TRON and XRP from the same mnemonic if it is a standard BIP-39 phrase — confirm each address against OKX Wallet’s per-chain receive screen when they show one.

FAQ

Is this the official OKX help center? No. OKX is a separate company. We describe how their self-custody phrase and their exchange withdrawals interact with GaurdWallet Receive.

Can I import an OKX exchange account with a seed? No. Custodial accounts have no BIP-39 export. Withdraw on-chain.

Why did OKX reject my bc1 address? Some venues still expect legacy Bitcoin formats. GaurdWallet HD Receive is native SegWit (bc1). If the exchange cannot send to bc1, use a different BTC invoice they support or another wallet — do not type a made-up 1… address from the same seed; this wallet does not derive legacy P2PKH.
