Step-by-step
- Import and match Solana. Use the Phantom import guide. Receive on Solana must match before you compare anything else.
- Decide where to swap SOL. GaurdWallet Exchange uses Jupiter, same-chain only. Phantom’s swap is a different UI. Do not sign two overlapping swaps.
- Do not expect a SOL→ETH bridge here. If Exchange shows “Solana bridges are not available yet”, that is literal. Use Swap on Solana or an external bridge you verified.
Same Solana keys, different product
| Phantom | GaurdWallet | |
|---|---|---|
| Solana path | m/44'/501'/{i}'/0' | Same |
| Token-2022 | Supported in their UI | Adapter derives Token-2022 ATAs |
| EVM from same seed | If their product enabled it | Always available after import |
| Cross-chain SOL↔EVM in-app | See Phantom’s current bridge partners | Not in Exchange v0.2.1 |
This page is not phantom.app. We do not list Phantom’s fees or NFT marketplace. After import, both apps can sign Solana transactions for the same key.
Jupiter in Exchange vs Phantom swap
Quotes in GaurdWallet go through /api/swap/quote then you sign locally. Priority fees are estimated; we do not embed Jupiter API keys in the client. Details: Jupiter Solana swaps. If a quote fails, see Could not fetch a quote.
Phantom phrase → Import → Solana address match
Exchange → Jupiter same-chain swap (not a bridge to Ethereum)
Fake “Phantom migrate” pages steal seeds. Only import inside /app. Keep SOL for fees and rent when receiving SPL / Token-2022.
FAQ
Will my Phantom NFT gallery appear? Not as a gallery. Tokens and NFTs still sit on the Solana account. GaurdWallet focuses on balances, send/receive, Exchange and the spot terminal — not a full NFT marketplace.
Can I bridge SOL to Base inside GaurdWallet? No. The UI error is “Solana bridges are not available yet — use Swap on Solana”.
Do Ledger accounts in Phantom import? Hardware accounts are not in the mnemonic. Keep using the hardware wallet’s workflow; do not type a seed that never contained those keys.
