Step-by-step
- Copy the phrase from Trust on a private screen. Settings → Wallets → the wallet → Secret phrase / recovery phrase. Prefer paper. Never screenshot.
- Import in GaurdWallet. Open /app → Import an existing wallet. Paste only into the first field of that screen. Set a new local password.
- Compare Ethereum, then enable BNB Chain. Receive on Ethereum must match Trust. Then Settings → Networks → enable BNB Chain (chain id 56) if your BEP-20 USDT lives there.
The EVM path Trust and GaurdWallet share
Account 0 is m/44'/60'/0'/0/0 — the same BIP-44 path MetaMask uses. One 0x address is valid on Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, Base and every other EVM net GaurdWallet lists. The tokens are not “on the address” until you select the network they were actually sent on.

m/44'/60'/0'/0/1 ← second HD account (“Add account”)Trust Wallet’s dApp browser and WalletConnect sessions do not come with the seed. After import you are not “logged into” those dApps. Re-connect from a wallet that actually injects a provider — the live GaurdWallet product today is the web app at /app/.
BEP-20 vs ERC-20 after import
Users often see “USDT” in Trust on BNB Chain and then look at Ethereum in the new wallet. Same 0x, different chain. Enable BNB Chain, or follow TRC-20 vs ERC-20 USDT if the balance was on TRON instead (T… address, different path m/44'/195'/0'/0/0).

This is not the Trust Wallet support site. We do not recover Trust cloud backups. Only a BIP-39 phrase you already control can be imported.
FAQ
Does Trust Wallet use 12 or 24 words? Either can be BIP-39. GaurdWallet Import has a 12/24 toggle. A phrase with the wrong length fails checksum: “This is not a valid BIP-39 recovery phrase”.
Why is my BNB balance zero after import? You are probably viewing Ethereum. Enable BNB Chain in Settings. The 0x address stays the same; the native coin and BEP-20 tokens do not appear until that network is on.
Can I import Trust Wallet into GaurdWallet on iOS? Use the web wallet in Safari and Add to Home Screen if you want an icon. There is no Trust-branded GaurdWallet app. Never install a lookalike from an ad.
