- Reveal the phrase on a private screen. Follow Coinbase Wallet’s official reveal flow. Write it on paper. Do not paste it into GaurdWallet.com blog fields — there are none for seeds.
- Import and match the Ethereum address. GaurdWallet Import → 12/24 words → new local password. Receive on Ethereum must match Coinbase Wallet’s Ethereum account before you send.

Coinbase the company ships two different products people mix up. The exchange is custodial: they can freeze, recover via support, and require KYC. Coinbase Wallet is a hot wallet with a phrase you control. GaurdWallet only speaks to the second model.

After import: what you still must withdraw

GaurdWallet has not had an external app audit. A second hot wallet holding the same seed increases device risk; consider a fresh seed and an on-chain send if the old phrase ever touched a sketchy phone.
FAQ
Can GaurdWallet log into Coinbase.com? No. There is no API login, no OAuth, and no way to export an exchange account as a seed. Withdraw on-chain.
Does Coinbase Wallet use the MetaMask path? EVM account 0 is the standard BIP-44 coin type 60 path GaurdWallet also uses. Always confirm by matching the displayed 0x address rather than assuming.
Should I delete Coinbase Wallet after import? Only after paper backup and a matching address check. Deleting the app does not delete the exchange account.
